The course is designed to strengthen teachers and their ability to deal with the various difficulties they encounter in life, such as stress, strain and trauma, and thereby strengthen their capacity to respond to life's events in a positive way, whether at work or in their personal life, and to recognize their own limits before it is too late.

Course schedule
The course is five days long and each day has its own theme:
What really creates happiness?
Happiness is a skill that can be trained
The first day will focus on what happiness is according to research and how thoughts, feelings and daily habits shape our well-being. Participants will learn about positive psychology, the brain's happy chemicals (dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin and endorphins) and how you can influence your own well-being with small changes in your daily life. There will also be a discussion about how happiness affects physical and mental health.

Gratitude, joy and a positive mindset
Seeing the good in life
The second day will focus on how gratitude and mindful attention to what is going well can increase life satisfaction. Research on gratitude will be reviewed and participants will try a variety of exercises that are easy to implement into daily life. We will also work on joy, purpose, and how we can create more moments that fill us with energy.

Stress, mindfulness and balance
Finding peace in the hustle and bustle
The third day focuses on how stress affects the body and mind and how it can be reduced with simple methods. Mindfulness, breathing exercises, relaxation, exercise and time management will be covered. Participants will examine their own stressors and work on a personal plan for better work-life balance.

Self-compassion, connections, and strengths
Be your own best friend.
On the fourth day, we work on self-image, self-compassion, and relationships with other people. Participants will examine their own strengths and how they can better utilize them in their work and personal lives. The importance of kindness, building relationships, and setting healthy boundaries will also be discussed.

Happiness Board
Happiness for a better life starts today
The final day brings together everything participants have learned. Each person creates their own "Happiness Board" – a personal plan of small daily habits that contribute to greater happiness and well-being. The focus is on realistic goals, sustainable changes, and how to continue after the course.
