Via Nostra organises group trips/courses — eligible for funding from the continuing education funds of the Icelandic Teachers' Union — for schools at all school levels, in partnership with the Verdi travel agency. Verdi is in charge of organizing the trip and we at Via Nostra are in charge of the education. Via Nostra also organizes open courses in collaboration with Verdi that are eligible for funding from the Icelandic Teachers' Association's individual vocational training grants. In addition to the group trips, Via Nostra offers tailor-made on-site courses at schools throughout Iceland — for example on teachers' professional development days — where the training is adapted to each school's needs. We also provide a wide range of professional consultancy, such as implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals in school practice, using information technology and artificial intelligence in teaching, and advising on grant applications and development projects.
